We encourage those who qualify for vaccination to do so as we shall keenly follow. We are discussing with the Board of Governors and PTA to mitigate the challenges of Covid -19 with minimal interruption in the normal running of the school. We ought to be careful as we add our building material on that firm foundation laid by our forefathers, if it is to stand the test of time.Īmidst many challenges, we are doing our level-best to receive our students in a healthy conducive environment. King’s College, Budo was built on a solid foundation of the Church, Buganda Kingdom and the State. For the year 2022 we are going to be governed by the theme “Carefully build on the foundation” 1Corinthians 3:10. I started the work of Headmaster - King’s College, Budo on 26th November 2021. I thank God and all the stake holders for according me the opportunity to serve in this great Institution.

Throughout Emma’s three years at Emmanuel, she was heavily involved in College life participating in a range of cultural, sporting and community pursuits and served on the Students’ Club Committee and as a Wing Community Leader. The fund will form the basis of the funding solutions for the implementation of the Master Plan in the short, medium, and long term.Įmma Szczotko attended Emmanuel College from 2011 to 2013 and graduated from The University of Queensland in 2016 with a dual degree in Law(Hons) and Arts (majoring in Art History and French).Įmma is the Manager of Corporate Governance at Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast, providing corporate governance and strategic advice, Board secretariat services, compliance and corporate reporting, risk management and legal liaison services.Įmma has also held roles with Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art in corporate governance, performance reporting and government relations and Herbert Smith Freehills, where she practised as a solicitor working both on transactional and litigious matters in a range of industries for both private and public sector clients.

We hope you share in the optimism contained within the plan, and see the many brilliant opportunities for future members of the Emmanuel College community which might flow from its realisation. Feedback from all stakeholders, including direct consultation with students, has been a core to the plan’s evolution and is reflected in the final version of the Master Plan. It will take time and significant resources to achieve the vision contained in the Master Plan. The Master Plan is a flexible built environment strategy that will provide guidance to decision makers on the development of the campus over the next 10 to 30 years. We have sought to be smart and sustainable, thinking strategically and long term, and most importantly aligning the College’s vision, goals and objectives with the built form and environment. While students live and engage in their usual dynamic and enthusiastic ways, we are challenged to look for better ways to connect as community, through the more effective stewardship and utilisation of our remarkable and unique location sitting on the banks of the Brisbane River.
Much of the infrastructure of the College is approaching its 70th anniversary. In 2021, recognising the need for rejuvenation and development to meet future needs, the Emmanuel College Board endorsed a new Master Plan for the College, developed through the creative collaboration of Feather & Lawry Design and Aspect Studios (Landscape).
