The idea is meant to give the pirates access to the bed once they clear the ship and wipe the buffer, cause that just feels like a realistic situation.

That way, there's a time sensitive event that the owner can try to defend against or repel, and if they fail, instead of being locked in some sort of demented limbo, they get booted back to their previous spawn point, to get another ship and try to retrieve their stuff, cause PES will make big ships full of collected stuff more valuable than the big ship by itself, so claiming the big ship with insurance might not be the best option if they still have a marker for it, so they can track it down. Ive said this each time this comes up, there should be a, "purge stored engram," command or something, that requires anyone other than the ship's owner to complete one of those hacking minigames CIG's been developing, kicking anyone stored in the buffer back to the place they were spawning before they used the medbed. What's not fine tho, is to grief someone so blatantly and unnecessarily, then come cry victim for being warned for it. It's fun and fine to make another player pay for failing to avoid risk, rendering them unable to stop you from taking their cargo and hull. Posting a video and screenshots to call names 'cuz you got reported by someone you spawn-camped 30+ times (when you can deny them from respawning in the first place), accusing them of abusing game mechanics (which has no basis whatsoever) is just salty. Nobody is obliged to exit the game so you can loot their ship in peace, just because you "won" a game they aren't playing along Nobody is obliged to change their spawn location for you, just because you "won" a game they aren't playing along It is not abusing any mechanic to try and get off the med bed each time you die and automatically respawn Instead of spawn-camping and killing someone 30+ times, you can simply lay in the med bed to block them from respawning on it
